Phishing Paypal email scam

I received an email this morning claiming to be from Paypal confirming a payment from my account which I didn't make - in panic I clicked on the link for the Help Center within the email but immediately suspected something was wrong as it started to direct me to a site. I quit out of my browser immediately before the page had loaded and it allowed me to do so without any further problem. I didn't enter any personal information on the site but I am now concerned that clicking on the link may have installed something on my computer - I use an iMac so am hoping that I'm not as vulnerable as a PC user. I am also worried as after I quit my browser (Google Chrome), I reopened it and logged into my Paypal account to check that it hadn't been misused (which it hadn't). Later in the day I also logged into my online bank account. Could software have been installed onto my mac that caused this information to become insecure?

Please help - I am going out of my mind with worry now, and too scared to log in to any other websites to check my accounts. I also feel really silly as I am usually very alert to these sorts of scams, but this one was a clever way to get my attention, and looked very authentic!
