mac mail won't send

Imac mail won't send messages

iMac, Mac OS X (10.6.8)

Need quite a bit more information than that.

Was it sending, but is not now.

Have you made sure your outgoing mail setting are correct

Etc.

Absolutely nothing was changed. I have 2 different email addresses and both have comcast.net servers. Ran connection doctor and connection for both emails have green lights("Connection and login to server succeeded"). But there are red lights for smtp.comcast. Restarted the computer, and uplugged the power to no avail.

See if this helps. I recieved this from Comcast back in November 2012, but may have something to do with it.

If you use a web browser to access Xfinity Connect or other webmail service, this action will not affect your ability to send or receive e-mail.

Email Program Users (Outlook Express, Outlook, MacMail, etc.):
If you use an email program, this action will disable your program's ability to send email until you change your email program settings to send email on port 465.
