When I follow the instructions exactly to reset (restore) my iPod that I have never synced with my iTunes, it does not go to the "connect to itunes" screen. It goes right back to the "iPod is disabled screen. I have long ago forgotten the password. Any ideas?

Thanks for the quick reply but unfortunately this does not work either. After about 13 seconds into the 20 second segment, it goes back to the "disabled" screen. 😟 Very frustrating. Any other ideas?
All I can suggest is to make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store.
