I moved my itunes from windows computer to macbook pro-- but don't know how to change the nano ipod?

So I need to delete everything on the nano and set it back to factory settings? Is that 'restore'?
ok. so I see that all music on the nano will be deleted needs to be deleted and then I restore and download onto it again.
