Shared Calendar Alerts

My family has all of our iphones, ipads, and imac, signed into the same icloud accounts. Sharing calendars is terrific, however if one of us has a reminder for a calendar event, we all get the reminder sound/alert. Even though we've all got our own calendar created in the same icloud, we can click to only see our own events, however we still get reminders from one of the other persons calendar.

Is there any way to turn theirs off, so I only see and hear my alerts and reminders? I'm the sort of (ADD) person that needs a lot of reminders, and my wife is getting tired of all my alerts.
