iphone 4s texting issues....please help!

I have been having issues with my phone for over 2 weeks.

When I send a text message is comes back....failed.

Sometimes if I change the settings to Airplane mode and switch it back again....it will help boost the text message into the cyber world.

I am also having issues with receiving my calls. Most of the calls are going directly to my vm.

Please help
