writing Email produced in multiples in all mail

When writing a fresh email and send it, find that there are 24 or more emails in All Mail, each with a bit more text added to the original email sent. This means every email I write and at the end of the day, have hundreds of partly made emails that I have sent, now to be deleted. This is such a crazy email system.

Apple Mac Pro 3.2Ghz, Quad Core, 6Gb memory, only 3 weeks old, so has the latest software.

Anyone with ideas would be appreciated.

Probably best to download a better email client. Anyone recommend one for a Mac.

Many thanks

It sounds like you have Gmail and you're saving drafts to the server. That's what happens. Go to Mail menu - Preferences - Accounts - choose your account, click Mailbox Behaviors, and turn OFF storing drafts on the server.
