Hi Winston , I'm trying to get rid of storage I really don't need to pay storage for ,junk mail and old stuff in general

You can see what your iCloud storage is used for and delete any unwanted content at settings > iCloud > backup & storage > manage......

Thank you , can I delet flounder on un used old 3 gas iPhone ,and will I be able to search later if I need to?

If you delete the back up of your old phone, it will free up some of your allocated iCloud storage space.
