when I select my yeti microphone for use with Quicktime player I get feedback, no recording except for what sounds like a drum roll. I am selecting the Yeti with the down arrow.

I've used the audio recording with my yeti microphone selected and I get what sounds like someone drumming their fingers on a cymbal instead of sound. When I switch back to internal microphone I can record. This happens with the movie recording option and the screen recording option. Is it that Quicktime doesn't recognize the Yeti mike? Or is there some other setting I should go to. System preferences made no difference as suspected.
