We have create a landscape layout (disabled portrait) but when we zoom in on the page it moves and rotates. We want to be able to zoom in on the page and not have it move or spin. Any suggestions?

We had made everything full screen on tap. We are trying to zoom in iBooks by using pinch. When we pinch to zoom, we are able to to rotate the image anyway we want. We would like the pinch function to act like it does on Newsstand and smartphones without having to make all of our text full screen on tap.
The otherwise routine pinch/zoom gesture we're all familiar with isn't available w/iBA books, sorry.
It does work with standard epubs, such as output via Pages, etc.

Can we move our iBook Author file into Pages easily? We are not familiar with Pages. Does Pages offer the same widget features as IBook? What software would you recommend we use to build an Epub?

There is no simple lever to pull, if that's what you're asking, sorry.
I'd do it the other way 'round, and master in Pages, as an example, then if needed, spin off an iBA version. iBA outputs a hybrid epub of Apple's design. Pages, etc. can output an industry standard epub.
iBA is the only appication that supports iBA widgets, although with imagination and good use of CSS, a standard epub can be creatively interactive as well.
Pages is from Apple, just like iBA, but not free. See the Mac App Store - you may want to add in calibre, or explore LibreOffice w/the epub plug-in. InDesign from Adobe is another option, if you have the budget for it.
LOL...I was hoping for a simple lever. We actually have built the brochure in Indesign CS6. IBA appealed to us because of the widgets. we are exploring Epub in Indesign as well as IBA.
Regarding our question, so IBA does not support pinch and zoom but does support tap and full screen.
Hopefully Apple wil add pinch and zoom feature. Appreciate your help!
Tap and zoom is when a thumbnail is shown on a page and tapped once....the resulting view (not necessarily full, but larger), then has a small 'x' top left that must be tapped to dismiss and return to the normal page flow.
