Saving attachment on iPad

I have email attachment in mp3 format. How can I save it in iTunes? I'm using an iPad and I tried touch and hold the attachment, but it gives me only "mail" and "open" options. Can I save at all? Thanks in advance.

There is no way to save attachments on the iPad without having an app in which to save it. You can't create folders on the home screen in order to download and save files like you can do on a computer. This is a totally differenting OS than what a computer runs.

You need some sort of app that will store the file. You could download the file on your computer, import it into iTunes and sync it to the iPad. I know that is not what you are looking for, but it will work.
