Q: iBook

iBook has started downloading books over and over and I can't stop or get rid of them on the book shelf.  I have dumped books from the cloud in hopes of it stopping. I have about 12 half downloaded copies of two books. This did not start with me trying to get anything from the iCloud. I do not know what started this.

iPad 2, iOS 6.1.2

    Are these iBooks that you have read, deleted from the device and are supposed to be only stored in iCloud?  If so, this happened to me a few weeks ago.  I tried all the fixes suggested on this forum and these iBooks that I had long deleted from my iPad, kept showing up on my bookshelf.  It he only way I could fix this is be hiding them in iCloud thru my Mac.
