I put Norton Online Backup on my MacBook Pro. It slowed the computer and caused other problems. Now I find I cannot uninstall it. The directions given in the Norton online help for the program do not work... (Library/App Support/Norton Online Security) There is no "Norton Online Security" to move to the trash. Can anyone help? Thanks...
You're just going to have to deal with Norton support. Most of us here stay as far away from such utilities as we can and I don't think that you'll meet many folks here who have installed any Norton products so we wouldn't know, exactly, how to uninstall them.

And to add to the fray, I've been here since the last Ice Age and Norton has probably messed up more Macs than it's saved.
Sorry... none of this works... I can go to Library/Application Support... but Norton Online Backup does not appear there..... :-(
Download the free "EasyFind" from the App Store and just do a search for "norton". If you find any files it's a pretty safe bet that you can delete them with no problems.

The only library I could find was opening Finder and holding down 'option' while clicking 'go'
You might find files at your root Library (double-click your HD and you'll see another Library folder) and see what you find there. If you installed for 'all users' it may have the files that you're looking for...

Oops...I'm pretty fried. Yes, it's there... But no 'Norton' in it
Just found the Norton Online Backup in the App Support folder of Library... on the HD.... I dragged it to the trash... and the Norton icon is STILL up there! ????
Reboot.
