How can I backup non-purchased iBooks, as in iBooks I downloaded from Safari, onto my PC?

I downloaded some .epub files from archiveofourown, and opened them with iBooks, so that they're now stored there. I want to back them up onto my PC, just in case I ever mess up my iPod in some way or another, or accidentally delete all my iBooks or something. But they're not purchased, so they don't autimatically sync to my iTunes, and I can't drag and drop them from my iPod into my iTunes, because iTunes won't let me. They're stored only on my iPod, which worries me -- I like to have a copy of the epubs on my devices on my computer, as well, so I can keep track of them more easily. Is there any way this can be done? It's really frustrating and worrying. Thanks.

I can't find any third-party applications that can transfer books on my iBooks to my iTunes library or computer. When I backup my iPod using iTunes, does it also backup my iBooks? That's my real question here. I need to do a restore on my iPod to get rid of my "other" data, and when I restore my iPod from the backup, I don't want to find that the 705 books I have in iBooks I have are missing.

The backup does NOT include synced media like apps. music and iBooks

Try the free iFunBox program. I can see my the iBooks on my iPad and there is an option to copy them to the computer. Beware, the title of the books is not show in iFunBox so it is hard to determine which is which. I could find the one I tried since it showed a thumbnail of the cover.
