Am I missing something here: I don't see an option to print out a gift card in Itunes 11? Has it been removed. This was a very handy feature when you're running out the door and need to create a quick gift on the fly!
lol, I know. I put that because I knew someone would bring it up. I didn't mean to seem like I was attacking anyone.
It just doesn't make any sense to me why they would remove that option. In the end it's not the end of the world. Just an inconvenience.
I agree that it's total crap that you can't print these out any more. I needed one of these in a pinch yesterday, didn't know the email address, and didn't have time to stop by the store on the way to a party. I had no idea you couldn't print these out any more so I didn't bother. I'm much less likely to gift iTunes cards now in a pinch...
Yes I have just seen that, I'm creating a screencast BUT I don't see how to create a printable gift card like one could do before. Am I missing somthing here?
You use to be able to print out a physical card with the gift code on the bottom of it.
I dont think you can do that anymore.
Now its email or go buy the itunes card at the store.
Yeah, I don't see it, that ***** as it was a nice option and I don't see anything that you can print that has the redeme code on it.

You can email the person with the amount and it wil automatically redeem.

this is BS!! I don't want to send it through email! I want to print it out on nice cardstock and put in her stocking. Why don't I want to go to the store and buy one? None of your business. I don't see why they would have removed the option to print it out that is extremely stupid. For the first time in my life Apple has truly let me down.

Gift it to yourself as an email. Once you receive the email, select all and copy the contents into a new document. Then copy (right/control click) the link from the redeem now button in the email (but don't click on it). Paste the link into the new document but delete everything but the code near the end (between the = and the &) and place it above (or replace) the redeem now button.
I tried that, but it went directly to my account. ****!! Make sure you are logged out before you click the email. :-)
