mac pro ram problem

my mac pro i have recently installed new ram which i purchased via ebau ,heres the link:http://www.ebay.com/itm/190639518360?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m143 9.l2649



now the problem is when i first installed the ram into the mac, i reseted the ram that is : cmd+option+p+r during boot and the red light near ram went away but every time i shut down my mac and start it again i see the red light near ram compartment again and i have to reset the ram everytime i shut down and start the machine .so can any1 tell me whats the problem here.

is it the ram or the ram compartment.

please help!

For starters, how much RAM should you now have installed and how much RAM is actually being shown in Activity Monitor? Next, in System Information, in the Memory section do all the DIMM's appear and is their status "OK"? Finally, what slots did you install them in (we don't know how many slots you have because we don't know which Mac Pro you have) and with what other DIMM's, if any. On the later Mac Pro's, the red light that's lit identifies which DIMM is causing the problem. Do you know which red light is actually lit?
