I have a new laptop and cannot get my IPhone to sync with it. When i click the sync button, it asks if I want to erase everything on my Iphone and replace it with the ITunes library on my laptop, which has no music.
I have a Dell PC running windows 7 and an Iphone 4S.

This is how it works. The iphone will sync with one and only one computer at a time. Sycning to another will indeed erase the iphone.
Copy everything from your old computer, or your backup copy of your old computer, to your new one. Then sync.

From your OLD computer...
Copy your ENTIRE iTunes FOLDER to an External Drive... and then from the External Drive to your New Computer..
