Q: Unable to instal Itunes in Windows 7 for want of a DLL file / installer error

Can anyone help me in installing the latest itunes. I have downloaded the setup file. When I try to instal, installation fails forwant of a DLL file / error in installer package. What should I do to successfully instal.

I have been using Itunes for so many years. But recently I formatted my laptop and installed the new OS, Windows 7. Previously I was using Windows XP, I did not have problem.

Is there any solution by enabling or disabling any of the service features under administrative tools in the control panel ?

Although you're getting a different error message, try the procedure from the following user tip with that one:

"The administrator has set policies to prevent this installation" error messages when installing iTunes for Windows on Windows Vista and Windows 7 systems

Thank you. A very useful tip to overcome the problem in installing iTunes in windows 7 - problem in installer package - sorted out by just creating another account in the Computer ! (instead of logging into the computer as administrator).
