does an unlocked iphone 5 work with tmobile

Hi I am currently using a Samsung galaxy S3 supported by T-mobile. My question is, does an unlocked iphone 5 work with tmobile? Is there a difference in the size of sim card and does it support only 3g? or 4g like the Samsung Galaxy S3 does? Basically does the unlocked iphone 5 work like a regular tmobile phone without any problems? Thanks!

The phone will work wuth T-Mobile and you will have to efit the APN settings to enable MMS.

T-Mobile is retooling their network so that 3G will work on iPhones so 3G coverage is spotty at best depening upon location

I tried my Nexus 4 T-mobile sim in my 4S a week ago and had 3G for just a few minutes before it switched back to edge. I was not able to get a 3G siganl again during my trial.

T-Mobile in the US is not a supported carrier. In much of the country, their 3G data network is not compatible with the iPhone, and so far as I know, you can not use their LTE network at all at this point. The phone features will work with the exception of some issues with MMS messaging. If your account is not provisioned to allow international SMS messages, you may not be able to activate facetime or iMessage and if you can, you may be charged for SMS messages to the U.K.

The iPhone uses a Nano-SIM. To date, the iPhone 5 is the only phone on the market that uses a Nano-SIM.
