Good day. I have been trying for over a week now to update my IPhone 5 to the latest iOS 6.1.2. I have a windows 8 operating system with Itunes that I am using to try and update the software. Everytime I plug the phone in and connect to itunes, I get a pop-up saying that I have an update for the phone iOS 6.1.2, but when I click download and install, It says that I do not have permission to access the requested resource. Please help!!! Thank you.

Have you ever used jailbreak software? - be honest 😉

Do you have any security software installed - If so Disable it - Each and every part of it..

No I actually haven't. The software on my pc is all legit. I have a free version of avast internet security running on my machine, which I have deactivated, restarted and the software is now busy downloading - Thanks a million!! Thought I was going nuts!! Have a sweet machine with no speed problems, that's SSD for you.
