Mail is unresponsive

I've tried closing the app and a reset both did not help.

Turn Mail off. Settings>Mail, contacts, calendars>Your email account>Mail>Off. If you have a POP account it would be Account>Off.

Restart your iPad and then try turning mail on again and see if that works.

What exactly do you mean by unresponsive? Mail will not load? Or does the app crash?

Have you tried deleting the account and reinstall it? Or resetting all settings? Settings>General>Reset>Reset All Settings. You will have to enter all of your device settings again.... All of the settings in the settings app will have to be re-entered.

Try this first - Reset the iPad by holding down on the Sleep and Home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons. (This is equivalent to rebooting your computer.)

Or this - Delete the account in Mail and then set it up again. Settings->Mail, Contacts, Calendars -> Accounts Tap on the Account, then on the red button that says Remove Account.

 Cheers, Tom 😉
