Q: Everytime I crop a photo the Aperture 3 crashes.

I just bought the latest version - 3.4.3. I have the latest iMac.

Every time I crop a photo the beach ball appears and the application crashes.

Has anyone experiences this so far? I've searched the web but it seems that there have been releases to fix this issue.

Aperture 3, OS X Mountain Lion (10.8.2)

Has the latest version of Aperture ever run on your system or did the problem start as soon as you installed it?
Is it always the same image that causes this to happen?
Have you tried running a library repair? If not see Aperture 3: Troubleshooting Basics for instructions.

If you still have the crash
Copy the first 50 lines or so of the crash report here.

Thanks for the response. For some apparent reason the application prompts for library everytime which I do. For the nth time, it (library repair) worked this time. The cropping crash seems to have been solved by the last repair. Thanks for the help.

Ok good,. If it comes back follow the suggestions in my post so we can see what's in the crash log.

Message was edited by: Frank Caggiano - Are you saying that every time you start Aperture it asks for the library? What if (with Aperture closed) you locate the library in the finder double click it, what does Aperture do then?
