You do not need QuickTime to sync videos to your iPod.
Have y looked here:
iTunes: May be unable to transfer videos to iPhone, iPad, or iPod
iTunes: Frequently asked questions about viewing and syncing videos
I think you may have QT. Have you tried searching for it? I have QT on my two Win 8 computer but only remember downloading iTunes.

Mar 3, 2013 5:14 PM in response to lllaassby macwildstar,Nope.; No Quick time.. so I ran apple update and had it install it.
yeah, It really confuses me. I had a bunch of videos I specifical converted over to Ipod touch compatable format, and kept all my I pod touch stuff seperate folders so that if I ever had to re-import them, I could.
Now i switched from XP, to win7, and it won't import the videos. They do not show up on the recent list.
These videos are MINE, that I created.. but originally in avi format.
And some concerts that I made, that are mine, I cannot import.. all this stuff was saved as MP4 formats and were imported into my ipod touch with winXP.. so why not now?
