What happens when you try to download them via the App Store ? If they require a higher version of iOS than you have on your iPhone then you won't be able to install them - in which case you would need to have an older compatible version on your computer or on a backup, only the current version of each app is available in the store.

There is no need to SHOUT.

Are you having problems downloading them ? You can download apps in the same way as you used to download them on your iPod i.e. via the App Store app directly on the phone or via your computer's iTunes. You can either use the same account as you used on your iPod, or if you want to create a new account (all content is tied to the account that downloads it) then there are instructions on this page for creating an account without giving a credit card number : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT2534

If you've downloaded apps to your computer's iTunes and you want to sync them to your iPhone, then if its iTunes 11 on your computer then you can enable the left-hand side bar that used to appear on previoud versions via option-command-S on a Mac, control-S on a PC - you can then sync apps to your phone in the same way as on previous versions i.e. select the phone on that left-hand sidebar and use the Apps tab on the right-hand side to select and sync them
