my ipod tough won't accept my wi-fi password

My Daughter took her 5th Gen iPod Touch out of our house, and thus out of our home network range and connected to a friend's network. Now the iPod won't accept our home network's password. It's picking up the signal; but won't connect - even when I manually enter said password.

I've backed-up; "wiped clean"/reset the device and then tried it; it still won't work.

Any other suggestions?
