Apple Email

Can someone please tell me where i can check my apple email? My Mac is not set up to an account and when i try to set it up to my apple ID it says it needs verification, but i cant access my account to read the email! HELP NEEDED!

MacBook Pro, Mac OS X (10.6.8)

You don't set it up to your Apple ID. Launch Mail and set it up the way your ISP recommends. Speak to them and they can help.
