Excel is developed by Microsoft. You need to look for your answer in a Microsoft sponsered Excel Support Forum on Microsoft's website.
A P&L statement is generated by business accounting software. Excel of course is not such software. The only thing you can do is total columns of expenses and income you may have entered.
Not that it can't be done at all. Accounting software automates much of the work. In Excel, you pretty much have to do everything manually. There are templates you can use, such as this one. A 12 month template.
