Q: Trouble changing Motion template background

Hi, I'm having trouble trying to change the black background colour of the bokeh template in motion 4. I want to use it in FCP 7 and when rendered as H.264 file comes out black- the background I mean. I want the background to be a crimson red.

I've tried to fix the colour in Motion using different things such as HSV adjust, Tint etc to no avail.I'm new at this and would really appreciate some help.

If anyone knows how I'd really appreciate it!
