I have the iPad 4 but I cannot connect my camera using the USB connection kit. It says accessory use to much power. Will a powered USB hub work and if so which one do I need.

The iPad does not have a USB port, you can connect it to your Mac or Pc
Sometimes a powered hub works. Make sure the camera's battery is fully charged.
Also, if you can charge the camera's battery in the camera try doing that.

Sometimes I know you can alter the settings on your camera to help it better interface with your iPad.
Does your camera have SD cards? While the USB 'connect to camera' part can be tricky, the SD card reader is less so.
