I purchased my mac book pro 1st; and I need to move the library to the iMac desk top

I purchased my mac book pro 1st; and I need to move the library to the iMac desk top. Help? Everything I try hasn't worked and I'd rather not spend a ton of ton of money for CD's or zip drives. Any good ideas?

MacBook (13-inch Late 2007), Mac OS X (10.6.8), moving to iMac version 10.8.2

This works... BUT... it does require an External Hard Drive...

Copy your ENTIRE iTunes FOLDER to an External Drive... and then from the External Drive to your New Computer..
