I have two iPod, and a Mac


I am able to sync one iPod but not the second. I have turned off the "defective " device  completely , and the Mac,

Restarted iTunes. All with no joy.


The iTunes page does not seem to load in " old " fashion, in that it does not give an indication of a device connected on the scroll bar at the left when I connect up with either device.


Any ideas what's wrong ?

    I also had this problem yesterday - on Windows - following the upgrade to 11.02 (? - most up to date version anyway) last week (everthing fine before then). My iPod shuffle loaded and updated OK, but when I tried my Classic as well it was not recognised and did not update. I will try the steps here this evening:




    to ensure the mobile device application is running OK.

    I did two things - rebooted, stopped and restarted mobile device application, and then everyathing seemed to be OK.
