Apple Event: May 7th at 7 am PT

Looks like no one’s replied in a while. To start the conversation again, simply ask a new question.

I have an ipad 1 which will not update from IOS 5, and now does not play any movie clips or tv programmes??? What can I do to sort?

I have an original iPad, which will not updat from IOS 5. Can anyone offer a solution to this issue please?

It will no longer play any video type file either, so need to update it!

- The iPad 1 can only go to iOS 5.1.1

For video problem try:

- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost

Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at

least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.

- Reset all settings

Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.

All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.

- Restore from backup. See:

- Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.
