"Preview" icon has disappeared from launchpad while its present in application folder

"Preview" Application icon has disappeared from launchpad while its present in application folder.

MacBook Air (11-INCH, MID 2011), OS X Mountain Lion (10.8.1)

Can you confirm that Preview is in the correct, root level Applications folder?

What happens in Launchpad if you type Preview in the search box, can you see it?

You do mean Launchpad and not "Dock", right?

Yup its in its correct exact location but when i search for it in launchpad the result is "No Result" while if i make a copy of preview it shows up in launchpad.
