can't upload to facebook or youtube

Every time I try to upload a video shot from my iphone to YT I get one of two messages: "unable to convert video" or "

We see irregularities in the aspect ratio of your uploaded video file. If your upload does not fit well in the video player, read this article for tips." and then it says "the video has failed to process." I'm also unable to send any video to FB. I can't figure this thing out...

All videos taken from my iphone are 1920x1080 h.264. Any ideas? I feel like a dummy.

The suggestion in the YouTube article are extensive - have you followed all of them? How are you trying to upload to YouTube?

LN: Of course I read it, though it has me confused since the examples it gives uses 1680x720 and 640x480. My videos are 1920x1080 as I mentioned. Plus I can't even get videos uploaded, so the article is moot.

Are you able to upload those files from outside of iPhoto, i.e. using your browser to upload to FB and YouTube?

You need only ask. 2009 Imac, Mtn Lion, Safari. All updates are current.

Then I don't understand how to do what you're asking. Can you tell me how to export to Safari and I'll let you know?

You export to the Desktop via the File ➙ Export ➙ File Export menu option.

Then add the photo tp the Safari window for Facebook or YouTube via the Upload button or however it's done.

OK. So I exported to the desktop and then went to YT to post. Same thing happened. Got the same message I showed in my original post and then the video failed to process. Any more ideas?
