hi ive got bit problum with itunes i added all the ringtones 5 times so basicly ive got each ringtone by 5 times in itunes and i dont know how to delete them from itunes.. plz hel... and how many ringtones i can put i my iphone 4 ios6 ???
You don't need to untick the tone and sync, but DO need to click ON the 'Manually Manage my music and videos from the front screen of your device in iTunes. This tells iTunes you are happy to mess with stuff directly on your phone. Yes ... a Tone is not technically music or video, so take it up with Tim Cook. You can then right mouse click (Mac Control Click) and you will have an option for 'Delete'. After Applying the changes you can then untick the manually manage thing if that's how you roll for regular synching
What's alt-cmd-s..?
It's a command shortcut that used to show the iTunes Sidebar on a Windows installation of iTunes. That may or may not still be true 4 years later.

You would remove the checkmark in iTunes to sync the ringtones to the phone, then perform a sync. That should remove any of the ringtones that are not a part of the iOS.
Open iTunes and go to Ringtones and delete the ones you whish. (With alt-cmd-S you will show the sidebar)
You will be asked as usual if you wish to keep the files or send them to the basket.
At next sinc they will be deleted from the iPhone too.
Ringtones should not use much memory on the iPhone and I believe you can load many but no idea of a specific limit.

To detete any media from iTunes, select the item(s) and then select "Delete" from the Edit menu. It will ask you if you want to premanently delete them from iTunes - say Yes.
As far as ringtones on the phone - I am not aware of any limit save the amount of memory you have available.
