Why can't I pair my Samsung galaxy with my iPad via Bluetooth

Because the iPhone does not use the Bluetooth File Transfer Protocol (FTP) profile so there is nothing you can do pairing with the Samsung.

Thanks for your reply, Apple needs to sort this out, it's a joke.
Nothing to sort out, iOS has never supported File Transfer Protocol. They operate a huge media store and the labels and studios would not like that profile to be added. Hasn't been their for 6 years and they have done fairly well.
It's been that way since the orginal iPad and iPhone. iPhone started out in 2007 and has never had it in all this time like the iPad. Don't look for it being added ever.
