This error occurs when the device unexpectedly loses its USB connection with iTunes. This can occur if the device is manually disconnected during the restore process. This issue can be resolved by performing USB troubleshooting, using a different USB dock-connector cable, trying another USB port, restoring on another computer, or by eliminating conflicts from third-party security software.
Since it appears you have done everything else, disable the security software on the computer.
How do I do that?
Contact whomever provides support for the security software on your computer and ask them.
I dont see security software when i try to disable it. I went to the process tab in the windows task manager
Security software would be the Anti-Virus, Firewall, or Anti-Malware program on the computer.
My ipods stuck in recovery mode. Says error 9 when it tries to restore. I've used many different USB cords, and different computers. I've also downloaded itunes many times. And apple mobile device is installed. Please help me out.
