Well, first things first... is the power cord fully plugged into the back of the iMac (and the wall, for that matter)?

Make sure the wall outlet has power, too... I've scratched my head over stupid issues where I forgot to flip a wall switch.

If the outlet does have power, then try doing a pram zap. Command + option + P + R (hold those at startup).

If the machine is receiving power, you should be able to see some LEDs if you look through the bottom grate of the machine to the left of the RAM door.

Yes power cord is plugged in firmly both to the wall outlet and the back of the computer. The wall outlet is working fine because I tried another electrical device and it works fine.

I tried the pram zap. It still did not turn on.

I checked to see if there are LED lights on in the bottom grate and there is.

Now what?

Tried that several times...still won't turn on. Funny thing is it was on and working prior to the SMC reset. Reason I even did the SMC reset was because there was no output sound coming from it...either with the built in speakers, external speakers, or headphones. I read on another discussion that doing the SMC reset can fix audio issues...and now my iMac is just a paperweight...Very frustrated!
