inserting section breaks disrupt page numbering

I'm creating a business plan with Pages '09, but when I inserted section breaks, the page numbers got messed up.

Now every new chapter starts with its own page 1, and is displayed as such in the Table of Contents. Is there any way to correct this?

Any help, suggestions or advice are appreciated, as I am working on an extremely narrow time window.

Thank you.

z,

With the Text Insertion Cursor flashing in the new Section, use the Layout Inspector, Section Tab, to set the Page Numbers: Continue from Previous Section option.
