I hav a international visa debit card and wen i try to update my paymnt method it shows"payment method declined please try another paymnt method " so what should i do now?!?

Not that I will be much help Juzer, But I would like to know the same thing, I own a canadian visa debit card with one of the top 5 banks of canada and have come across being denied by the iTunes store when trying to buy OSX Mountain Lion.... would of really prefered to just walk in and buy the stupid thing, but I have to download it and iTunes will not take my money... From what I understand my debit card can be used for all international payments throught debit and be registered as Visa aswell as do online payments which from what i understand to be all electronic internet based transactions including the iTunes store? some help would be most appreciated to most likely many Canadians aswell as any other country issuing Visa Debit cards and the equivalent (Mastercard Debits?? AMEX Debits lol)

Its an iTunes problem - NOT your credit card.

I have the same problem. But 15 minutes ago I succesfully purchased an item from http://store.apple.com/dk using same credit card. I can also update billing info in the store. This is online using Safari of course.

But in iTunes and on my iPhone the problem is unsolved: I cannot use iTunes Store or App Store.

Cant find any help in support...

store.apple.com is completely different from the iTunes Store. The Apple Store, to which your link goes, can accept cards that the iTunes Store, the subject of this forum and the original post, cannot. You cannot use a debit card, nor an international credit card, in the iTunes Store. The card must be a credit card, issued by a bank in the country whose iTunes Store you wish to use, and with a billing address there.

I know it´s two different stores.

My point is that I can edit my credit card details in Apples online store: store.apple.com

And puchase with the card. As I have done with the same card for years with no problems. In iTunes and on App Store.

Before May 8th. 2013 my credit card worked fine in iTunes, App Store, store.apple.com/dk (danish store - danish credit card), other online shops and of course in physical shops and ATMs.

Today it works everywhere ECCEPT iTunes and App store.

But Apple Support and varjak paw keep telling me and others that its the credit card or something with countries and that we should talk to our banks...

I've responded to your other replies, so no need to reply in detail other than to say that you didn't provide sufficient information in your original posts so no other reply was really possible. Start a new topic and perhaps folks can offer useful advice.
