Aug 15, 2014 1:34 PM in response to cheftomb1by tjwise,I'm having the same problem. My iPod was skipping songs. So I put it back to factory and now it won't sync. It keeps telling me that a duplicate file was specified. Once i fixed that and it started to sync. Then it won't download some of the music and podcasts that I bought from apple, it tells me that my computer needs to be authorized, which it is. Which kinda ticks me off. And it won't sync the music that i put on my iTunes from cds, which even makes me madder. I like my iPod classic, because i can carry a significant amount of music, podcasts, video, etc. But now the only thing that goes on it is my games and some of the music that i bought from apple. AND because it's past it's warrantee apple wants you to pay for customer service. We used to be able to email them with a problem and now you can't get help unless you pay for it. When it's a problem with iTunes and their updates. I thought i was going to have to buy a third iPod classic until I looked into the community chat boards. Is there ANYONE out there that can help me. If so my email address is wlfwmn8860@hotmail.com.
