A few "lost" iDevices are found. However, not many "stolen" iDevices are ever found.

Before you lose your iPad turn on Find My iPad.


Use the settings app. Go to Privacy. Turn on Location Services then turn on Find my iPad.


This will allow you to locate your iPad should you lose it and it is on. If it is stolen, turned on and not wiped you can locate it and remotely wipe your data from the iPad.


But Find My iPad MUST be turned on before the iPad goes missing.
