¿Will Logitech z523 work properlly on Macmini 6.1?

Some days ago, I asked something in this forum and the repply I had was very useful, so here I go again...

To make a long story short, let's say that I have decided to purchase the Logitech Sound System z523. I have not recieved it yet, but there is something I need to know even before its arrival. Ineed, what I wonder if Logitech z523 will properlly work on my Macmini 6.1 (late 2012). To be honest, I have been searching the web far and wide, and I can't really guess it. Logitech z523 is supposed to have a minijack wire to be connected to the computer. Well, the computer has the minijack output, so there are no problems so far. The thing is that I don't know if the speakers will work properlly, because I don't know if I can have real 2.1 sound from the minijack output. In other words, what I am asking is: will I enjoy 2.1 sound (right speaker, left speaker and subwoofer channels sepparetly) if I directly plug the speakers wire into the minijack output of my macmini 6.1? I don't know If I can get multichannel sound from there. Besides, in case it's possible, what I also wonder is: do I need any extra device or not? In case I do, which one? And, finally, is there any software matter I need to be aware of? Maybe, to have real 2.1 sound I need a set of speakers with a different connection, or God know what. I don't really know. Help!

I need things to be clearly explained, as far as I am not into sound systems. And, by the way, I am not a native English speaker, so I'm sorry for my writing mistakes (I'm Spanish...).

PS: Yep, it's too late to wonder this. I know I should have done it before purchasing, but I'm not always inteligent enough when buying.
