Are you certain there are 3 batteries, as some of the newer keyboards have only 2.
Yes three batterys
If you have problem to remove batterries from wireless keyboard, you have alternatives depending of the problem:
1) the battery cap can be removed: then remove the battery cap, also the rubber piece under the center of the kyboard and force youbatterries out.
2) the battery cap cannot be removed because the batteries leaked inside and the cap will not unscrew. Same thing remove the rubber under the keyboardunscrew the electronic component without loosing any small screws. remove the first battery and then the second. If not possible for the second or the third. Take a small drill and drill a reasonable size hole in the battery cap, and then insert a stick to push the batterries out. Clean carefully the empty chamber. The reloading of the batteries will have to be done thru the rubber entrance..
In general the look of the unit is very good and the mechanical seems ok, but for some reason the batteries tend to deteriorate within, and then the batterycap cannot be removed. Since there is no spare part to be bought to replace, the drilling is the only alternative.
There are only two batteries. When they come out, it looks like there is a third one stuck inside, it's just the contact. If you need to verify this, remove the grey plastic cover from the bottom of the tube - when you pull the spring back you'll see there is just air where you think the third battery is sitting.
This was SO VERY HELPFUL!
I thought there were three batteries in the keyboard! Thanks so much!!!
You can look on the underside of the keyboard and see VERY small icons for either two or three batteries which tells you which version you have.
