Q: How do I get a refund for a purchase that wasn't wanted?

Apple has made it almost impossible to find a way to request a refund for an unwanted app purchase.

Any direction as to how to get their attention to correct this?

So Apple has absolutely no recourse for not approved sales? Purchases made in error because there was absolutely no agreement by the buyer to buy the item other than an accident keystroke? There is no such thing as "no refund". I wonder how many dollars Apple collects for errors by customers?
almost sounds unethical to me...

You can try contacting itunes support and asking for an exception.
