Hi, I'm thinking of buying a used Mac Mini (lastest hardware version running ML).
However when I get it, I will want to format it completely and reinstall the OS (to remove any trace of the previous owner).
As the mac doesn't have a DVD drive, how will I be able to do this?

If it's the latest model, it should include the Recovery Partition that you can use to reformat the rest of the hard drive and do a clean install.

If it is a mid 2010 iMac or later, you can also use internet recovery (discussed in the articles posted by Network 23). For the mid 2010 iMac, it will have needed a firmware update to enable Internet Recovery.
That works like the Recovery HD, but it boots from Apple's Servers instead of from the hard drive.
