Some of my excel files will not open

I have run MacKeeper for the first time and now some of my excel files will not open. I get a message saying ' file cannot be accessed' The file may be read only or trying to access a read-only location. Or the server on which the document is stored may not be working'

I can open a new excel window and there are other xl files that i can open. If i right click i can view on read only - but cannot write which is not useful.

MacBook, Mac OS X (10.6.8)

1. Get rid of MacKeeper. It's garbage and will mess up your system beyond belief.

2. This forum is for troubleshooting Apple Software Update for Windows, a software package for Windows designed to update Apple products that run on Windows, and not related to Microsoft Office in any way. I suggest you post Office related questions on Microsoft's own forums for their Mac products.
