I have run MacKeeper for the first time and now some of my excel files will not open. I get a message saying ' file cannot be accessed' The file may be read only or trying to access a read-only location. Or the server on which the document is stored may not be working'
I can open a new excel window and there are other xl files that i can open. If i right click i can view on read only - but cannot write which is not useful.

Folks - i'm knocked out by the instant response. After re-boot I seem to be able to open them again!
1. Get rid of MacKeeper. It's garbage and will mess up your system beyond belief.

It may be problem of corruption issue in excel files due to any unexpected reason. You can try some excel recovery software's that easily recover and repair corrupt files from MS excel. A third party tool kernel for Excel recovery tool is a goodone option as its recover my all files easily.
