Hi,
I want to restore my new iPhone 5 from my iPhone 4. iPhone 4 is running iOS 6.1.2 and brand new iPhone 5 is running older software. It won't let me restore my old settings due to the difference in software!, How do I restore now please?

You need to first update your iPhone 5: Settings>General>Software Update. Once you do that, you'll be able to restore your iPhone 4 backup to your iPhone 5.
Thanks! But I can't get past the restore bit on the iPhone without first restoring it. How do I get past the restor bit?
Just set it up as new first, then update the software, then: Settings>General>Reset>Erase All Content & Settings. You should now be able to use that backup.
