how to create recovery hd

recently i replase my hdd to ssd from time mechine but when i restart my mac can't show recovery hd

MacBook Pro, OS X Mountain Lion (10.8.2), i want to up great ram 8gb to 16gb

Try this Terminal command (below) to see if it actually got created. Open Disk Utility and from the Menu bar select Debug then Show all partitions.


defaults write com.apple.DiskUtility DUDebugMenuEnabled 1



You should see something similar to this:

If it's not there and your system can boot into Internet Recovery, you will need to restart using Command+Option+R which boots into Apple's servers and Reinstall OS X from the OS X Utilities Menu. Now, when the install process is completed, you might be at an earlier release of ML (e.g. 10.8.1). So, run the Software Updates. Internet Recovery will install the factory version of ML that shipped with your system. I'm assuming ML came preinstalled on your system.

Since in that discussion you restored from a Time Machine backup, that restore would not have installed the Recovery HD. So, go back to that discussion link to see what you need to do instead of what I provided in this discussion. I gave some instructions of what you can do to get the Recovery HD on your Time Machine restored system.
