How do you import photos from another persons iPhone on to my iPad?

maybe if the other person use dropbox or skydrive or google drive to store the photos in the public folder you can access them that way

If these are pictures taken by the phone, you can copy them onto the computer you use to sync your Phone to, and then inport them into iTunes so they can be synced to the phone.

If these are photos that the other person synced using iTunes to their phone, they'll need to email them to you.

There are of course Apps in the App store that can transfer pictures.

Search the store for "Photo Transfer" or "Photo Share"

Another option is for them to send them to you via text message or email. You can then copy them to camera roll on your iPad.
